My daughter’s latest favorite are the garlic breads from dominos. Yeah who doesn’t love it! She asked me for some of them yesterday night and of course you cant just order the garlic bread. So my all time rescuer Google was again there to help me. I looked in for some recipes for making the bread, got all the ingredients and decided to make them at home.
I forgot to mention, I have never baked any kind of breads at home. So was quite excited too. Started to make them around 7pm and by 10pm they were ready. Though we had our dinner by that time and had planned to eat the bread next day…believe me they smelled, looked and tasted so good, none of us could resist and made my second batch of breads this morning on high demand by my family. So here I share the recipe for you all to try it out.
Maida – 3 Cups
Instant yeast – 2 tsp
Salt – 1 1/2 tsp
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Milk – 1/4 cup
Warm Water – 1 cup
Garlic cloves – around 15 chopped finely.
Oil – 1 tbsp
Butter – 3tbsp
Coriander leaves – around 2 tsp finely chopped
Microwave the milk for 20 secs and add the sugar and yeast to it. Wait for some time until you see froth on top the mixture.
Now in a bowl add maida, salt and yeast mixture. Add warm water as required to prepare a soft dough. Knead the dough for 5 mins.
Take 1 tbsp of melted butter and add to the dough and knead for another 5 mins.
Keep the dough in an oil ( I used olive oil ) greased bowl. Cover it with a cling film and keep it in a warm place for 1 and a half hour.
Dough will almost get double in size. Knead it for a min. Add half of the garlic chopped to the dough and knead it well.
Grease your baking tray and make small balls of the dough and place them on your baking tray. Make sure there an inch space between each dough balls as they do increase in their size.
Keep this to rest for an hour.
Now melt 2 tbsp of butter ,add chopped garlic left and add the coriander leaves, mix well.
Brush this evenly on your rolls.
Preheat your oven at 180 deg C. Bake for 17 mins or until they turn golden on top.
Enjoy your garlic breads with your favorite soup
